Self-Locking Domed Cap Nuts DIN986 White are specialized fasteners. They have a domed top that covers the bolt end, giving a smooth and neat appearance, and a self-locking design (with a nylon insert or deformed thread part) to stop them from loosening due to vibrations. Made of carbon steel (common grades 4.8–8.8) or alloy steel for greater strength, they go through a white surface treatment—either white zinc plating (for good corrosion resistance) or white powder coating (for a smooth finish and added protection), suitable for indoor environments and places where a clean look is needed.
Instructions for Use：
Choose a nut size that fits the bolt (for example, an M8 nut for an M8 bolt). Hand-tighten the nut onto the bolt until the self-locking mechanism starts to work—you might need a bit more force as the nylon insert or deformed thread grips the bolt. For the final tightening, use a wrench (don’t over-tighten, as too much force can damage the self-locking part). The domed cap should sit flat against the workpiece to cover the bolt end.
For maintenance, clean them regularly with a dry cloth to remove dirt. If the white coating gets scratched, apply anti-rust paint suitable for white surfaces to keep them from rusting. Check the self-locking function often—if the nut loosens easily, replace it to ensure it stays secure.
